Today I co-hosted a popup at work for our in house brand, Royale. It was lackluster when we started out. Due to state laws, we can’t show customers any real cannabis products so building a brand presence can be difficult. At first we followed the brand’s requests to a T, passing out stickers that they provided. After about an hour we were running out of stickers but we had 3 hours left in the event.

The brand had also provided us 2 informational sheets, strain logos, a “spray paint can” and a Royale Crown. So I put my thinking crown on and got creative.

Then it hit me, why not try a photo shoot? Our store already has a photo wall, so I took full advantage of it.

At first I got my coworkers to pose with the crown. Some took more convincing than others. But it worked! Soon we had customers taking photos, laughing, and asking us about Royale. Sometimes all it takes to make an event successful is a photoshoot, a cardboard crown, and a stubborn girl with a camera.
